Mary Finlay, deputy chief information officer of Boston-based Partners HealthCare System, has been named chairwoman of the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council, an association that hosts industry events, facilitates networking, sponsors research, and advocates for policies that promote innovation, entrepreneurship and competition.
Finlay is the first CIO to serve as the councils chairwoman, and she will oversee the council's 43-member board of trustees, which sets direction and provides oversight of the finances and management of the organization's 500 members.
"There are many issues to be tackled, from the adoption of emerging technologies such as robotics to developing the pipeline of the next generation of IT workers, Finlay said in a news release.
