One of the keys to the clinical achievements at 60-bed The Villages (Fla.) Regional Hospital is its affiliation with 429-bed Leesburg (Fla.) Regional Medical Center, about 16 miles away. The Villages opened in 2002 to capture the growing retirement market in the area, which lies some 20 miles south of Ocala in central Florida.
