What happens when a physician is no longer able to physically stand the rigors of a regular practice and still wants to use his background and skills?I have a good friend who was a practicing and devoted family practitioner. He had to go on disability for a chronic illness that prevented him from keeping regular hours at an office. He still has talents and is looking for a position that would allow him to work from home according to how he feels. I was wondering if any of your readers might have some thoughts on this. I have looked for articles on home-based businesses for physicians and not been able to locate anything. It seems that there should be something that would allow him to be productive again from home, despite his unpredictable illness. Enjoy your articles.
