NightHawk Radiology Holdings, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, a pioneer in the business of staffing radiologists in foreign countries to take advantage of both telecommunications capabilities in radiology and the differences in time zones, has acquired Teleradiology Diagnostic Service, Arcadia, Calif., for an undisclosed amount of cash, the acquiring company announced today. Terms of the sale were being withheld pending filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Teleradiology Diagnostic Service will become a subsidiary of NightHawk. The acquisition will add 11 Teleradiology physicians to the NightHawk roster, brining it to 78 physicians. Wilson Wong, president and chief executive officer of Teleradiology will remain as head of the unit. NightHawk has facilities in the U.S., Sydney and Zurich.
