Affiliated Computer Services, Dallas, an information technology vendor, will pay $30 million to purchase Albion, an Atlanta-based firm that specializes in integrated software solutions for the healthcare market, the company announced.
The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions, including the consent of current Albion customers, officials said. The deal was made through an Affiliated Computer Services wholly owned subsidiary, ACS State and Local Solutions, which signed the acquisition agreement with Cambridge Solutions.Rob Marchant, Albion's president, said in a news release: "Joining ACS will enable our organization to continue focusing on our existing customers while expanding the breadth of our services for the future." ACS is a global Fortune 500 company with 58,000 employees supporting clients in about 100 companies.
