Grady Health System, Atlanta, said its president and chief executive officer for the past year, John Henry, has retired. Henrys resignation was effective immediately. He joined Grady as chief operating officer in the fall of 2003 a month after retiring as CEO at Emory Hospitals, Atlanta. Henry took over as CEO at Grady on Jan. 1, 2006, after Andy Agwunobi left the system to become COO at 14-hospital St. Joseph Health System, Orange, Calif. The Fulton-Dekalb Hospital Authority, which operates the public systems flagship Grady Memorial Hospital, said it is nearing the completion of a six-month search for Henrys replacement. -- by Michael Romano
