More, better, faster. That’s the collective direction in which all news media are heading to meet the information demands of readers, and Modern Physician is no different. This issue of Modern Physician marks the debut of the 11-year-old publication as a biweekly electronic newsletter. We’ve increased the frequency to biweekly from monthly to provide more news more often. And we’ve changed the format to electronic newsletter from digital magazine to make that news immediately accessible.
Each issue provides readers with a news-driven "Top Story," or cover story, on the biggest news affecting physician business executives and the organizations and companies they run. "Beyond the Headlines" analyzes other important news events, while "Recapping the News" gives readers short updates on important news they may have missed. We change pace with a major biweekly "Feature" that profiles physician business executives, their strategies and their operations. "Opinions" takes the pulse of physician business executives with editorials, letters and guest commentaries. "By the Numbers" provides readers with numerical information of interest for their business success, and "Physicians Making Business News" chronicles the comings and goings of physician business executives.
Each issue is a complete package of news, features and data.
In addition to the new frequency and format, we’ve created a breaking-news bulletin for Modern Physician subscribers called Modern Physician Alert for essential business news that just can’t wait. And, we’re revamping Modern Physician Online, the publication’s Web site at modernphysician.com, to offer physicians an extensive set of business resources to help them succeed in their business ventures.
