The California Regional Health Information
Organization, better known as CalRHIO, is using the
second phase of a two-part $1.67 million grant from the Blue Shield of California Foundation to help healthcare organizations that work with poor,
underserved populations participate in a statewide
healthcare high-tech initiative.
Donald Holmquest, president and chief executive officer of CalRHIO, said
the grant will help promote health information
technology in the state, an effort supported by Gov.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, as well as broader reform
