WellPoint names IT security chief

WellPoint, Indianapolis, named Shamla Naidoo as its vice president and chief information security officer. Naidoo, 43, will oversee the design and implementation of information security strategies, policies and standards. She most recently served as chief information security officer with the Northern Trust Corp. in Chicago. Naidoo also is an attorney specializing in technology and privacy law. -- by Mark Taylor
