Michael Callaghan has resigned from the board of directors of Lombard, Ill.-based SXC Health Solutions, a provider of information technology and services to federal, provincial, state and local governments, pharmacy-benefit managers, managed-care organizations and retail pharmacy chains. Callaghan's departure was to "pursue other interests," according to a news release.
Gordon S. Glenn, chairman and chief executive officer of SXC, said in the release that "Mike spent the majority of his tenure on the board as our chairman and helped navigate SXC through an important transition phase that saw us emerge as one of healthcare's most innovative providers of tools, technology and services to manage pharmaceuticals. We wish him well in his future endeavors."
Last fall, SXC announced that Glenn, then a director and CEO, was named chairman, replacing Callaghan, who had been chairman since 1997. -- By Joseph Conn / HITS staff writer
