Regarding a Dec. 29 Daily Dose item, States lead charge to solve health crisis, states can require us to pay for car insurance so why not require people to purchase health insurance? I feel many of the uninsured can at least afford minimal coverage for catastrophic events. Those of us who do purchase our own insurance are surely subsidizing those who dont. Such a requirement sounds like a good plan to me.
