The Health Foundation of South Florida said it has provided more than $500,000 in grants to help fund an information technology network involving several South Florida health systems. The South Florida Health Information Initiative will help healthcare providers offer a higher quality of service with fewer redundancies and inefficiencies, said Robert Schwartz, chairman of the University of Miamis department of family medicine, in a news release.
