Flying in the face of national statistics, Green Bay hospitals are well on their way to using electronic health records. A recent study shows 10% of doctors and 5% of hospitals across the country are fully electronic.
Aurora BayCare Medical Center, which was named one of the most wired health systems for the third consecutive year in 2006, has been largely electronic since it opened in 2001, said Linda Pristelski, director of health information services and privacy officer. She said the record system is about 65% to 70% electronic.
