Modern Healthcare announced this year's 100 Most Powerful People in Healthcare recognition program--our fifth annual--in the April 10 issue. From April 10 through May 12, readers nominated candidates via the magazine's Web site, modernhealthcare.com. Readers submitted more than 9,200 nominations, up significantly from last year, and Modern Healthcare then placed the 300 people who received the most nominations on a final ballot, also posted on the Web site. From May 29 through June 23, readers visited the site to vote for the 10 candidates they believe should make the final list of the 100 Most Powerful. Readers submitted roughly 18,000 ballots with a total of just under 180,000 votes cast, a slight decrease from last year. The 100 people who received the most votes made the final list with the ranking determined by number of votes received. The magazine reserved the right to resolve voting irregularities. If you have any comments or questions about the results or the survey process, contact David Burda, editor, Modern Healthcare, 360 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago, Ill. 60601; call 312-649-5439; or send an e-mail to [email protected]
