Lynx Medical Systems, Bellevue, Wash., named Gene Cattarina as its new president and CEO. He replaces John Trzeciak, who served as interim CEO following Lynx's acquisition by investment firm Francisco Partners in late 2005. Cattarina was previously executive chairman of E&C Medical Intelligence, a New York-based provider of information technology for obstetrics. Prior to that, he served as chairman, president and CEO of Landacorp, an Atlanta-based medical-management software firm, and as CEO of Medicode, a healthcare-information firm that was acquired and renamed Ingenix by UnitedHealth Group in 1997. Trzeciak will remain a Lynx director and a healthcare adviser to Francisco Partners. Founded in 1984, Lynx provides documentation and revenue-management services and products to healthcare companies.
