Some 60 physicians with Crystal Run Healthcare, a multispecialty medical practice in Rock Hill, N.Y., have given up their privileges at 274-bed Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, N.Y., effective May 31, citing poor patient-safety standards. Describing the action as "reverse credentialing," officials at the medical group said the pullout is the result of long-standing physician and patient complaints that have gone unheeded. At deadline, Catskill Regional officials had not responded to a request for an interview. Crystal Run is one of the state's largest medical practices, with more than 135 doctors in seven locations, according to a spokesman. -- by Cinda Becker
