Modern Healthcare magazine welcomes opinion articles written by outside contributors.
Contributors can be anyone with expertise or insight into a healthcare topic. We encourage people from outside the industry who have thoughtful opinions about healthcare issues to write for us. We do not run articles that tout a particular company's products or services.
The pieces should be clear, concise (about 900 words) and stick to a few major points. In most cases, we prefer that you contact us before submitting an article. We can let you know if a topic is of interest and whether we would be likely to publish it.
We only use articles that have not been previously published. We reserve the right to edit articles.
Modernhealthcare.com also has a separate, online commentary section. There is no firm length restriction on those articles, but they should be as concise as possible. The articles stay on the home page for at least a month and are archived on the site. These commentaries are promoted in the print edition of Modern Healthcare (See p. 20 of this issue).
