Nine-hospital Resurrection Health Care, Chicago, named the Rev. Michael Place as vice president of ministry development. Place spent seven years as president and chief executive officer at the Catholic Health Association, before resigning in February 2005. He was succeeded by Sister Carol Keehan last October. At Resurrection, Place will oversee initiatives to improve access to healthcare for the uninsured and low-income patients, a Resurrection spokeswoman said. He also will develop a ministry leadership center at Resurrection for lay leaders, directors and officers in Catholic healthcare. -- by Melanie Evans
