Muskogee (Okla.) Regional Medical Center will hire a consulting firm to evaluate strategic alternatives for the 235-bed hospital, including but not limited to a sale, lease or joint venture, Chief Executive Officer Tony Armstrong said. Hiring the consultant and completing the strategic analysis could take 18 months, Armstrong said. The hospital's move comes amid an effort by 25 to 30 physicians to find financing to open another full-service hospital in Muskogee. "We are looking at the strategic options for this hospital in the future, well past our lifetimes," Armstrong said. -- by Jessica Zigmond
