Trilogy Health Services, Louisville, Ky., acquired Calvary Manor, a 78-bed nursing home in Ottawa, Ohio, for undisclosed terms. A provider of senior-living services in the Midwest, Trilogy has built or acquired six new facilities, totaling 573 beds, in Indiana and Ohio since May 2005. A Trilogy spokesman said the company will spend about $50 million in 2006 to open eight new facilities in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. It now operates a total of 30 senior-living communities in the three states.
Meanwhile, LHC Group, Lafayette, La., a home nursing and post-acute provider in the southern U.S., plans to buy a 67% interest in a home-health company owned by Infirmary Health Systems, Mobile, Ala., for undisclosed terms. The deal is expected to close Feb. 1. -- by Jessica Zigmond
