The Pennsylvania eHealth Initiative, a group of more than 40 healthcare-related organizations working to create an electronic patient data network, has announced the names of individuals who will serve on its board of directors.
Serving as board officers will be: Chairman Martin Ciccocioppo, vice president of research at Hospital & Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg; Vice Chairman Mark Jacobs, director of information technology at Wellspan Health in York; Secretary Dan Jones, chief operations officer at Quality Insights of Pennsylvania in Wayne; and Treasurer Tom Tabor, senior vice president and chief information officer at Highmark Inc., in Pittsburgh.
Other board members include: F. Wilson Jackson III, M.D., owner of Jackson Gastroenterology in Camp Hill; Roger Mecum, executive director of the Pennsylvania Medical Society in Harrisburg; Terry Shuchart, chief information officer at the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare; Jay Srini, vice president of Emerging Technologies at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center; James Tomkins, director of data and information services at Pennsylvania Health Care Cost Containment Council in Harrisburg; and James Walker, M.D., chief medical officer at Geisinger Health System in Danville.
