HCA, Nashville, named David Williams as chief executive officer of 496-bed Henrico Doctors' Hospital, Richmond, Va., effective Jan. 1. Williams replaces Patrick Farrell, who will become president of HCA's Richmond division Jan. 1. Farrell's promotion was part of HCA's corporate reorganization, announced in September, which split the company's hospitals into three groups from two and added four divisions -- including Richmond -- to the previous 12. Williams, 46, has been at HCA since 1987, most recently as CEO at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Hudson, Fla. -- by Vince Galloro
