Modern Healthcare is now accepting nominations for the annual Trustee of the Year competition. The awards, co-sponsored by executive search firm Witt/Kieffer, honor two outstanding trustees for their contributions to healthcare governance--one award for small healthcare organizations, those with fewer than 250 beds or less than $75 million in annual revenue, and another award for larger organizations.
To nominate someone, send Modern Healthcare a letter no longer than five pages explaining why you believe the person deserves to be recognized. Judging criteria will include the nominee's accomplishments in community relations, finance, leadership and strategy.
Letters should include the name of the healthcare organization, the name of the organization's chief executive, address and phone number, number of staffed beds and 2004 revenue, as well as the name of the nominee, the nominee's employer and number of years the trustee has been on the board. The letter also should include pertinent information about the person making the nomination.
Send nomination letters to Modern Healthcare, Trustee of the Year Awards, c/o David May, Assistant Managing Editor/Features, 360 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago, Ill. 60601. The deadline for nominations is Dec. 30. Winners will be announced in the March 20, 2006, issue of Modern Healthcare.
