The American Organization of Nurse Executives named Linda Everett, chief nursing officer and director of nursing services and patient care at the University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics, as its 2006 president-elect, effective Jan. 1. Everett succeeds Kathleen Sanford, who will replace outgoing President Marilyn Bowcutt, vice president of patient-care services at University Hospital, Augusta, Ga. Sanford's current title and affiliation were not available at deadline. AONE, an American Hospital Association subsidiary, also elected four board members to two-year terms: Joan Shinkus Clark, vice president of patient-care services and chief nursing officer, Baptist Hospital, Miami; Katherine Harris, vice president of clinical services, western region, Banner Health, Phoenix; Rosemary Roth, director of surgical services, Rochester (N.Y.)
