Clarian Health Partners, Indianapolis, announced a $500 million, 10-year plan to expand its statewide presence in pediatric care. The plan includes a $200 million, 10-story addition to Clarian's 250-bed Riley Hospital for Children, one of five hospitals operated by Clarian. The addition will house an expanded Level 1 pediatric trauma center, neonatal and pediatric intensive-care units, and operating rooms. Clarian also plans to add a total of 160 pediatric beds at three other hospitals, staff more pediatric clinics throughout Indiana, recruit more pediatric specialists and launch a series statewide telemedicine ventures. -- by Mark Taylor
