Quest Diagnostics, Lyndhurst, N.J., disclosed in a regulatory filing that it had received a subpoena from the U.S. attorney's office in New Jersey seeking records on capitation and risk-sharing arrangements with government and private payers from 1993 through 1999. Quest, the nation's largest provider of laboratory services, said it was cooperating. A spokeswoman said the company had "no idea" what the target of the investigation was. -- by Cinda Becker
