Baptist Health System, Birmingham, Ala., said it plans to sell its nine SportsFirst fitness centers as part of a yearlong strategic plan to focus its operations on patient care. Spokesman Ross Mitchell said the chain of fitness centers opened 21 years ago and has 12,000 memberships. He declined to provide financial details.
