Management consulting firm Accenture agreed to acquire Capgemini's North American health practice for $175 million in cash. Other terms of the agreement were not disclosed. About 600 Capgemini professionals will join Accenture, bringing the company's workforce in its North American health and life sciences practice to more than 4,600. Accenture said the acquisition would combine its experience with health plans, life sciences companies and government organizations with Capgemini's specialization in working with hospitals and health systems.
