Navigant Consulting, Chicago, said it acquired healthcare consultant Tiber Group, also based in Chicago, for $4.25 million in cash, $1.75 million in stock and two deferred payments of $1.2 million on the first and second anniversary of the deal. Tiber Group's 24 full-time consultants will join 375 full-time consultants in Navigant's healthcare practice. In 2004, Navigant added 290 consultants through acquisitions, according to Securities and Exchange Commission filings. Privately held Tiber Group had revenue of $7.5 million in 2004, Navigant spokesman Brent Curry said. The company's net income was not available, Curry said.
