RehabCare Group, St. Louis, earned net income of $23.2 million, or $1.38 per share, in 2004, compared with a net loss of $13.7 million, or 86 cents per share, in 2003. The company announced its earnings after an independent auditor completed a review of accounting for the 2004 sale of RehabCare's staffing unit, InteliStaf Holdings. RehabCare's revenue declined to $383.8 million in 2004 from $539.3 million in the prior year due to the InteliStaf sale. The company earned net income of $6.3 million, or 37 cents per share, in the fourth quarter, compared with a loss of $25.5 million, or $1.58 per share, in the year-ago quarter.
