The former chief executive officer at Redwood Family Clinic, Vallejo, Calif., was sentenced to one year and one day in prison, followed by one year of supervision, after she pleaded guilty to filing false tax returns. Osa Marie Healy, 44, also must pay about $92,400 in restitution. As part of the plea agreement, prosecutors dropped charges that Healy embezzled more than $90,000 from the clinic, according to a spokeswoman with the U.S. attorney's office in Sacramento, Calif. Healy's predecessor at the clinic, Lisa Jo Baird, received a sentence of six months in prison and six months of home confinement after she pleaded guilty in June 2003to filing false tax returns and embezzlement. Baird, 42, also was ordered to pay restitution of $187,300. In 2002, La Clinica de La Raza-Fruitvale Health Project took over management of the not-for-profit clinic, which serves the area's uninsured. It is now known as the La Clinica Vallejo. -- by Melanie Evans
