Electronic Data Systems Corp.'s National Heritage Insurance Co. unit will pay Texas $24.5 million to settle claims over Medicaid payments received in 2001 and 2002. Texas uncovered overpayments concerning National Heritage's management of the state's Medicaid program, including uncollected accounts receivables and improper payment claims, according to the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. National Heritage previously paid $15 million to the state for other refunds and losses, the commission said.
