The National Rural Health Association said it is launching an initiative to better disseminate to rural healthcare providers recommendations in the Institute of Medicine report Quality Through Collaboration: the Future of Rural Health. The initiative, to be led by Forrest Calico, formerly an adviser to HHS' Office of Rural Health Policy, will include sharing best-practice information among providers. An NRHA spokesman said Calico helped prompt the IOM study on rural health quality. -- by Joseph Mantone
