Decision Resources, Waltham, Mass., acquired healthcare information firm HealthLeaders, Nashville, for undisclosed terms as part of a growth strategy. HealthLeaders, which provides market research and publishes a 40,000-circulation magazine, will be combined with InterStudy Publications, Decision Resources' managed-care information division. HealthLeaders President and Chief Executive Officer Scott McQuigg will serve as president of the expanded division, to be called HealthLeaders-InterStudy and based in Nashville. HealthLeaders' original investors, which included HealthStream co-founder and CEO Robert Frist Jr. and former HCA Chairman Clayton McWhorter, no longer hold stakes in the company. It is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Decision Resources. -- by Laura B. Benko
