Bon Secours Health System, Marriottsville, Md., named Richard Statuto, 45, as its president and chief executive to replace Christopher Carney, 57, who announced retirement plans in June. Carney will remain at Bon Secours after Statuto's Feb. 1, 2005 arrival to aid in the transition. Carney is expected to retire in August 2005. Bon Secours, a Catholic health system, owns 20 hospitals, with the sale of three pending.
