Minnesota not-for-profit health plans launched a consumer Web site that allows patients to review how 52 Minnesota providers representing more than 700 clinics meet treatment guidelines for chronic conditions such as diabetes and preventive screening guidelines for cancer and sexually transmitted diseases. Newly formed MN Community Measurement, St. Paul, operates the patient-oriented Web page, which uses data from the industry standard Health Plan Employer Data and Information Set, said Eileen Smith, a spokeswoman for the Minnesota Council of Health Plans.
