The Florida Supreme Court rejected a motion from Gov. Jeb Bush to reconsider its decision to strike down a law ordering that a brain-damaged woman be kept alive with a feeding tube. Last month, the state's highest court ruled that the state overstepped its authority when it passed a law mandating the feeding tube for Terri Schiavo, 40. Schiavo's husband had won multiple court rulings supporting his wish to discontinue the life-sustaining service before Bush stepped in with the law. The request for a rehearing was denied in a two-paragraph ruling. -- by Michael Romano
