HCA's Trident Health System, Charleston, S.C., has named Terry Gunn as its new president and chief executive officer, effective Sept. 1. Gunn, 40, had been the CEO at HCA's Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Ga., since 2001. He has worked for HCA for 11 years. He began his career as an administrative resident at Baptist Memorial Health System in Memphis, Tenn., and eventually was promoted to assistant administrator.
