The Healthcare Financial Management Association reported the highest attendance ever at its Annual National Institute, running through Wednesday this week in Nashville. Some 4,000 hospital financial professionals, exhibitors, speakers and staff members are attending the event, up about 10% from last year's conference total. At an opening assembly, incoming Chairwoman Joyce Zimowski urged hospital financial professionals to learn what makes their organizations tick.
