RoundTable Healthcare Partners, a private equity firm focused on healthcare, has acquired Excelsior Medical Corp., Neptune, N.J., a manufacturer of prefilled syringes and syringe pump systems. Financial terms were not disclosed. Excelsior's management team retained a "substantial ownership stake" in the company and will continue to lead it. Excelsior is RoundTable's sixth investment since its formation in 2001. Recently RoundTable announced plans to sell a previous investment, Sabex Holdings, to generic drugmaker Sandoz for $565 million. -- by Cinda Becker
