The Big Ten placed five of its medical schools in the American Medical Association's list of the top 10 medical schools in terms of number of graduates, with the University of Illinois and Indiana University placing first and second. Of the overall top 10, the University of Minnesota had the highest percentage of graduates practicing in primary care, 37.9%, but four smaller schools had greater than half their graduates practicing primary care: University of Minnesota-Duluth, 65.1%; Mercer University, 60%; Morehouse University, 56.5%; and Wright State University, 52.2%
