Universal Health Services, King of Prussia, Pa., said it's converting 178-bed Lakeland Medical Center, New Orleans, to a subacute campus for its nearby 253-bed Pendleton Memorial Methodist Hospital, also in New Orleans. Universal purchased Lakeland from HCA, Nashville, on Feb. 1.
