Tenet Healthcare Corp., Santa Barbara, Calif., said it has named physicians to fill the newly created posts of chief medical officers for the company's five regions as "an important step" in its efforts to ensure patient safety and quality care. They are:
All will report to Jennifer Daley, Tenet's senior vice president of clinical quality.
Tenet said the CMOs will evaluate new medical technologies and programs and work with regional and hospital management teams, as well as hospital medical staffs, on patient safety and quality-of-care matters.
