Today is the deadline for nominations for the 2004 AMDIS awards saluting excellence and outstanding achievement in applied medical informatics.
The awards are presented by the Association of Medical Directors of Information Systems, a non profit organization representing more than 1,200 physician leaders are responsible for information technology in their healthcare organizations.
The winners will be honored at the 13th annual Physician Computer Connection Symposium, July 14-16 in San Diego, Calif., and in Modern Physician magazine.
Nominees will be judged on the following criteria:
· Demonstration of a successful medical information systems/technology application
· Use of information systems to improve patient care
· Use of information technology to support a more effective medical practice
· Use of information systems/technology to improve work flow and contain health costs
