The House Committee on Standards of Official Conduct has appointed members to its investigative subcommittee looking into allegations that Rep. Nick Smith (R-Mich.) was offered help with his son's congressional campaign if he voted in favor of last year's Medicare reform measure. Smith voted against the bill. The investigative subcommittee will include Kenny Hulshof (R-Mo.) as chairman, Michael Doyle (D-Penn.) as ranking minority member, and John Shadegg (R-Ariz.) and William Delahunt (D-Mass.) as members. -- by Jeff Tieman
