Frank McCullough, M.D., who was president of Medical College of Ohio, Toledo, and its 233-bed hospital from 1996 to 2003, died Monday of prostate cancer at his home in Perrysburg, Ohio. He was 63.
McCullough, a board-certified gastroenterologist and Air Force veteran, joined the college in 1978 as a professor and chief of gastroenterology in the department of medicine. He helped launch the college's hospital in 1979 and during his career there worked in positions including chief administrative officer, chief of staff, executive vice president, medical director and vice president of clinical services.
He is survived by his wife, Lynne, a physician; sons Daniel, Matt and Michael; and three grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday in Perrysburg.
