Ronald Kaufman, M.D., has been named to the position of chief medical officer for 18 Tenet Healthcare Corp. hospitals in California and one in Nebraska.
Kaufman, a rheumatologist, comes to the appointment from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California, where he served as senior associate dean for administration and associate senior vice president for administration for the university.
Before that, he was chief medical officer for the Los Angeles County-University of Southern California Medical Center and Healthcare Network, where he completed his internship, residency and fellowship. He received his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine.
Keck has a master's degree in medical management from the USC Marshall School of Business and the USC School for Policy Planning and Development.
