The National Center for Healthcare Leadership, Chicago, will seek proposals for up to six university-based pilot projects to improve graduate health-management education. University programs selected for the project -- designed to identify, catalog and disseminate "best practices" in curriculum, teaching and assessment -- will receive a $10,000 grant to offset expenses, officials announced. A request for proposals will be sent to all accredited programs and posted on the NCHL's Web site, nchl.org, in about a week. The pilot projects will be selected through a competitive application process, officials said. The deadline for submissions is March 26. Pilot sites are scheduled to be selected April 2. -- by Michael Romano
