"California voters will have the chance in November to wipe out one of Gov. Gray Davis' worst legacies. SB 2, which requires businesses with 50 or more employees to provide health insurance for workers, should be repealed. Every Californian should have access to healthcare. But forcing employers to pick up the tab -as SB 2 mandates-is not the answer. The solution should start at the federal level. And Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger needs to build a bipartisan coalition that will demand that the president and Congress work aggressively to find ways to insure the 40 million uninsured Americans."
