The turnover rate for registered nurses is higher than for other healthcare positions, and hospitals spend more to hire nurses than nearly all other positions, according to a survey of 151 healthcare recruiters by the Bernard Hodes Group, New York, a recruiting and staffing firm. The average turnover rate for registered nurses is 15.5%, compared with 13.1% for other allied health professionals, such as radiology technologists, pharmacists and physical therapists.
